With the UK economy set to remain challenging for some time, Public Sector is being put under ever increasing pressure to deliver greater and greater value for money. Current and anticipated job cuts are putting increasing pressure on already stretched resources, and with intense scrutiny to ensure tax payer value, there is limited room for reducing the services offered.

Public Sector organisations are looking for alternative ways of delivering these services, with shared services providing a realistic opportunity to deliver more for less.  Transformation of organisational structure of this type, however, has a profound impact on the processes and working practices of the organisation, not to mention the ICT infrastructure required to support it.
