The downturn to the economy has had a significant impact on the legal market. However, things are starting to look brighter for the industry but now the problem is managing this market upturn whilst still facing serious price pressures as well as increased demand for alternative billing models, more portable working devices and in turn higher security measures. All of this is putting a great pressure on law firms’ networks, budgets and resources.
Telindus has worked and delivered IT Managed Services and solutions globally within the legal market for many years and, has developed a portfolio of services and solutions specific to the needs of the legal sector which enable law firms to increase revenue, aid cost reduction, ensure client confidentiality, manage risk and minimise downtime whilst aiding flexible working.
Case study – DLA Piper
DLA Piper relies on the communications technology that underpins its business processes. Any disruption to its communications infrastructure has a direct effect on the function of its business, and consequently its service to its clients. DLA awarded Telindus a contract for LAN and WAN management and maintenance across its offices the contract covers everything from managing network switch failure and the frame relay service to providing on-going bandwidth reports, attending monthly progress meetings and project management. Telindus also supplies equipment and resource and has recently re-designed DLA’s WAN links.
“Our IT network is a fundamental part of our firm, it allows us to communicate effectively both internally and externally. Email, in particular, is a technology that we rely on. We use it to communicate effectively between offices and to our clients. A law firm of our size needs to be able to send emails across all our offices quickly and efficiently - and the volume of email entering and exiting email systems alone is approximately two gigabytes...
...Telindus really has exceeded our expectations; I can’t even remember the last network failure we had. Even if the terms of our SLA say we could endure a four hour network outage, Telindus will attempt to fix it immediately, if possible, which is excellent - you shouldn’t have to rely on a SLA. We have a real partnership with Telindus. While it is managing our network, we can concentrate on supporting our core business.”
