Telindus appoints Walker as head of innovation
Odiham, UK - 4 September, 2006 - Telindus, an expert in delivering vendor-independent business and technology-focused network solutions and services, today announced the promotion of James Walker to head of innovation.
Walker's new remit at Telindus is to determine market trends, assess new technologies and the specialist services required to support them, and assist customers with the progression of their technology and business development strategies. As head of innovation, Walker will also be responsible for positioning Telindus as a technology innovator and furthering the company's long history of innovation, thought leadership and value delivery.
"Telindus recognises that new technology gives organisations a competitive edge and by having a head of innovation, we are ensuring that we continue our track record of staying at the forefront of emerging technologies," said Mark Hutchinson, Managing Director, Telindus UK.
Walker, who joined Telindus in 2004, was previously the company's mobility solutions specialist and was responsible for developing solutions and services that enable 'anywhere' working, combing infrastructure, applications and connectivity. Walker also worked closely with the company's sales team to assist in articulating and developing customer centric solutions.
As a consultant, Walker has extensive experience of various network operators and service providers in the UK, Europe and USA and, prior to joining Telindus, he was the commercial development director at Fortune 500 company Dynegy Europe. Walker's previous roles as well as his work on a number of award winning solutions, implemented in organisations such as Derry City Council and New College Durham, provide him with the industry knowledge and strong skill set required to fill his new role.
Walker states, "In my new role, I will help the company progress and keep its finger on the pulse of competitive edge technologies and how these can benefit businesses."
